description
Most new technology products when first introduced into the market, are designed with the user interaction based on same behavior pattern from preceding product. While it makes easier for users to associate and transition to a new method with familiar operations, it also limits the capability of the technology and future design implication of its functionality.
This case study focus on a file manager application for large display devices with multi-touch input. It was intended to promote designers approach interaction first in design flow as a method to define the learnable and efficient interface based on users necessary needs.
